Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is undoubtedly the best comedy show to date. It is one of those shows, which we can never get bored of. We have been a fan of each and every character from the show. Whether it is Nattu Kaka or Daya ben, all have become a part of our lives. The show recently completed 12 years on July 28. Ghanshyam Nayak aka Nattu kaka is a very senior actor on the show and has not been keeping well and will not be seen on the show for some time. He was not shooting for the shoot initially as the Government had banned actors above the age of 65 to shoot. But later the rule was scrapped and Ghanshyam Nayak was waiting to return back as Nattu kaka. However, it seems he will have to wait a little longer. As per reports in ETimes, the actor recently developed uneasiness in the glands of his neck and he will undergo surgery for it tomorrow.
A source close to the show informed ETimes about the same. The source said, “A few days ago, Ghanshyam sir was detected with a lump in his neck, and the doctor advised surgery. He will recuperate soon and return back to the show. Nattu kaka is one of the interesting characters in the show and people love watching him. He is a senior actor and masses enjoy his comic timing. Nattu Kaka had also expressed his wish to continue working when the government barred 65 years of age from visiting sets. The production house has extended their support to the senior actor, but it will be some time before he returns to the show.”
Recently, Neha Mehta aka Anjali Mehta and Gurucharan Singh aka Roshan Singh Sodhi left the show. Sunayana Fozdar has replaced Neha Mehta while Balwinder Singh Suri has replaced Gurucharan.
